Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Programme

Defibrillators (AEDs) have been proven to significantly increase the chances of survival in cases of cardiac arrest.
This course teaches candidates how to give effective CPR and use an AED to feel confident if an emergency occurs. The AED course is endorsed by CIMSPA which means that training has been quality assured by CIMSPA and is delivered by a CIMSPA education partner.

AED is part of the guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in the UK and Europe and a vital part of improving the chance of survival in cases of cardiac arrest, in some cases up to 75%.
RLSS UK Qualifications offer a standalone AED course and the opportunity to add AED qualification to several of our qualification courses.
The Level 2 Award in Automated External Defibrillator- AED enables someone to give CPR and use an AED. The qualification is Ofqual accredited and valid for two years.
The Automated External Defibrillator course is four hours and is designed to be delivered in one day. The course comprises of practical work and theoretical classroom work, including practical assessment on CPR and AED.
